Quiet days
We've been quiet for the past few days...mostly because not too much has been on the go.
At least in our opinions.
The sun hasn't graced us with her presence although the wind has graciously taken her place.
Both Geoff and I seem to be weather dependant (much like all of us) and although we have been chipping away at making our way further south...the views have left much to be desired.
We say that knowing many people are dragging themselves out of bed to go somewhere they would rather not be.
So we remain humble and grateful for every moment!
Even last night as we sat looking down at our gypsy vessel we had to giggle as a fancy family stood and took a series of photos with our boat as the focal point!
Reminding us again just how lucky we are and even those who can afford it all can be envious of those that have merely chosing to do it!
And do it we are!
I will say that today was a day we would have previously been super uncomfortable with. The waves guiding the boat where ever they chose and the sun blinding us to the obstacles that await ahead.
(So many fishing pots!!- just waiting to claim our props!)
In the silence there was a sad realization just how quickly we become comfortable with the uncomfortable.
Waves lapping up on the boat and the wind keeping us on our toes.
Driving us to be and do better....and other moments allowing is to settle into situations...people or surroundings at first glance our gut screamed for us to avoid.
A fine balance between growth or complacency.
I do feel like we are growing into our titles as 'boaters'....with so so much still to learn.
But hey from what we are learning we are also learning what to avoid :)
Hopefully you can say the same.
All and all we find ourselves safety nestled in a small town...our anchor keeping us safely grounded until the water leads us on!
