Decisions "1" down!

Finally settling in,

We find ourselves ALMOST getting into a routine or at least starting to think about what we want that routine to look like.

The funniest part is that before we even get it going we will be on the move again with a list of new excuses.

It's been amazing to learn just how much our old thinking habits exist no matter where we are and what we are faced with.

Finding time and the motivation to work out...still comes in waves...

Our need to step back and look at the finances  finds us slipping back....hearing the voices of everyone who told us just how expensive this would be! 

We thought we could resist the temptations of beach beers with new friends and tasty meals from local restaurants.

Turns out we can't! (heaven help us)

Thinking that once we get home maybe we can get back on track! 

The typical life approach of not dealing with the truth today and sweeping it to tomorrow.

After looking at the numbers....and weighing our options and emotions we are back on course to bring the boat back! 

This means more fuel costs.....maintenance and surveys when we get back...and of course time! 

For two people that never have anywhere to be...we sure feel like we do! 

We miss our families, friends....and old routines.

We are truly grateful for this opportunity....but have shifted gears!

We are back to making sure we enjoy every last moment; as we eagerly make our way back to the cold! 

Weather being key! 

As we sit here in turquoise waters....it's easy to forget that there is still snow and ice restricting our way.

Locks and canals opening at the end of May...slow our swift return.

So even tho we may have made up our minds on heading back.....we are still on mother nature's timeline! 

We are hopeful she will be kind! 

And hey still offer our little home for those brave enough to make some of the journey with us.

It's been an adventure with so many memories and lessons jammed into what will one day seem like a short period of time.

But for now....

We take a deep breathe and try to remain present in THIS beautiful moment we will surely be missing only too soon!


LIVING life! 

Adventure bound!


Making memories and forging futures! 

Meeting people and doing things! 

Social media vs Reality !

Finally an update on everything and nothing

So here we sit, keyboard tapping and no true news to report.  Funny how long its been, with delays being hidden on hopes and dreams of sharing good news.   Words hung up on wishes. In truth we know that greatness rarely comes easy, especially to this motley crew. Yet, as we reflect, scream and plan we are humbled by the year that has come to pass. Helllllo Charity Status!

  Well hello there! Once again its been a hot minute.  But hey we have been busy chasing dreams and making momories! As many of you know we found out in February that we had been granted official charity status! This is HUGE for us! What that means is that I might return to tapping on these keys. Although the goal might be a little different than past blogs, we do want to keep everyone up to date on where we are at with things. So with that said lets dive into it. With receiving charity status, it means we can truly launch into fundraising and that mad dash to upgrade the boat one last time! Although we love and are grateful for Dare to Dream, we know that there will be people missing out just based on the limitations of our current vessel.  Dont get confused, we will still be moving full speed ahead with hosting guests this summer! We believe in what the waters and nature has to offer and we remain determined to share our experience with as many veterans that are willing...

4800 km to go! But whos counting!

Another pin in our hats and a notch in our belts! Thats right...we are heading back! We had a few guests take us up on our offer to come visit, although not as many as we had hoped or thought might come.  But than again we didn't really know what to expect. Either way we are happy to have had the chance to share a piece of this chapter with you!  And remind you and others that our doors are always open! Canada is just as beautiful in its own way, as the blue seas of the Bahamas! We think it will be sometime before we venture down this way on a boat again. We learned that others were right! It wasn't a cheap trip, BUT it was worth every penny.... We prefer to live our life than wish we had! With that said....time to start saving again! (we are dreamers but we aren't stupid - we still have more dreams to live!)
